FM-5090 Wrinkle Additive is a metal-organic mixture primarily used for producing matte powder coatings. It can also be used to reduce gloss in powder coatings and has a 
strong curing promotion effect. It is used for producing matte powder and can also be used to produce artistic powder coatings such as sand texture, wrinkle texture, and turtle shell texture.

Usage and Dosage

For internal extrusion to produce matte powder, the dosage is 2-3% of the total formulation. Extrude at 90-100°C, with a finer secondary grinding, passing through a 140-mesh sieve. Due to its strong curing promotion effect, the extrusion temperature should be lower.

This powder can serve as a base powder. By externally mixing with 0.1-0.2% of a floatation agent, the matte texture shape can be altered to produce effects such as snowflake patterns and turtle shell textures. In hybrid and pure polyester systems, internal extrusion can produce wrinkle and sand textures. When spraying powder, thick coats are needed for large textures, while thin coats suffice for small textures. Cure at 200℃ for 15 minutes.

FM-5090Wrinkle Additive can also be externally mixed. The dosage for external mixing is lower than that for internal extrusion, resulting in a rougher matte texture.

Note：

Prolonged and excessive inhalation of this product’s dust may cause mild discomfort similar to “cold” symptoms, including sore throat and even slight nosebleeds in severe 
cases. If it accidentally splashes into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Upon stopping exposure, the symptoms will disappear within a week.

Packaging and Storage

Packaged in kraft paper barrels with polyethylene liners, each barrel with a net weight of 25KG.

Based on our experience, this product has a shelf life of at least 2 years when stored at temperatures below 32℃.
